What was The Question???

We talkin' about practice...Practice? We talkin' about practice...not a game, not a game...we talkin' about practice?!

One of my favorite all-time athlete quotes. News came out that, yesterday, "The Answer" was traded to Denver for Andre Miller, Joe Smith and two 2007 first round draft picks. To me, this is a great deal for both teams - Denver this year and Philly in the future. Let's be honest - Philly was going nowhere this season, with or without Iverson. Now they're going nowhere, but with 3 first round picks next year (one in the lottery). Denver was a team that was missing something - another scoring threat to take the heat off of Melo. Now they got it and I think they will not only make the playoffs, but will make some noise. It'll be interesting to see how Iverson and Anthony mesh as teammates (after Carmelo Balboa gets off of his suspension). AI will also help the Nuggets stay afloat until the Golden Gloves get back from their multi-game suspensions. Side bar - basketball fights are really sissy-ish. It's just a bunch of guys puffing up their chests and swinging wildly like pledges in a sorority pillow fight. Even if they land a punch, then they run away before somebody can retaliate. But I digress...

It should be interesting to see how it pans out. I have to admit, after all of these years as "The Answer," I still don't know what "The Question" is. Is it "How many tatoos can you fit on your 5'10", 175 lb. frame?" Or maybe "Can you single handedly cause a professional basketball league to create a dress code?" Maybe we'll never know...

No kidding. If that's how they learn to fight in the ghetto, no wonder they all carry guns! They can't do any damage with their dukes! Girls.
It will be interesting to see how the Nugs do now. They have the league's top 2 scorers on the same team now. I think Philly might have gotten the better deal though. I know Iverson's had some great seasons, but he's in his 10th year, he's got baggage, and Philly got 2 players immediately and 2 1st rounders next year? I'd take that.
I think he's the answer to the question.....how many different ways can one braid one's hair?

I don't see how this guy is going to help Denver. I guess if he's willing to sacrifice his own stats for the good of the team, it might work out, but there's no way this puts them ahead of San Antonio, Dallas and Phoenix in the West. They're maybe even with Houston at best, unless I'm totally missing the boat here.

You don't think a scoring point guard can help Denver? How could it possibly hurt them? No, he's not a savior, but he definitely makes them a better team, skill wise. The attitude and ability to play together with Carmelo are yet to be seen.
